Before the Corona Pandemic, the Hospitality Industry which was giving millions of jobs every year and it kept flourishing too are nowadays facing a huge economic crisis due to the Corona Pandemic and still, the condition of this industry is becoming worse day by day. Because of it, more than millions of people are taken in the affection of it and as a result, they lost their jobs too. 

Before the Corona pandemic, the hospitality industry greeted their guests with a smile, offered a bouquet at the entrance of the hotel and also offered a welcome drink to their guests. After that, the guests do check-ins in the Hotel and then he goes directly to their room. But now everything has completely changed. Now the guests have to do contact-less check-ins. The hotel did not offer a bouquet and welcome drink to their guests. Nowadays, the guests first have to sanitize themselves as well as their luggage by crossing the sanitizing tunnel to sanitize themselves as well as their luggage. After that, the temperature of the guests is being checked by the hotel staff. Then the guests are allowed to enter the hotel.

The uniform of the hotel staff is the same as before but now because of the corona pandemic, the hospitality industry mandated some protective gears like a mask, hand gloves and face shield because these gears can protect the hotel staff from getting infected from coronavirus.

Nowadays, the rules of the hotels are being changed. Like if a hotel is having 50 rooms, then that particular hotel organization has to reserve 3 rooms for that person who is having symptoms of corona or get in the effect of the corona.

The kitchen department in the hotel is also being affected due to the corona pandemic. Every person in the kitchen has to wear disposable hand gloves, face masks and wear an optional face shield. Nowadays, people don’t want to eat hotel food because of corona pandemic. The customer thinks that under what circumstances the food is being prepared by the chefs. That’s the reason that the customer feels insecure about the hotel food. By keeping that point in mind, some hotels are trying to get the faith of the customer and install cameras in the processing area and give the access of that camera to their customers so that they feel that our food comes from a secure place and it is safe to consume.

The Food and Beverage Department is also being affected by the Corona pandemic. Before the Corona pandemic, cutlery was already placed on the table. But nowadays cutlery is not kept on the table. The food is sent directly to the guest rooms to create the proper social distance between them and the guests and to keep their guests safe from the corona pandemic.

The Housekeeping department which is also known as the backbone of the hotel industry is the only department which is having a heavy workload nowadays due to the pandemic crisis. Before the corona pandemic, the housekeeping department had to clean and sanitize the entire hotel twice a week. But nowadays, the housekeeping department has to clean and sanitize the entire hotel twice a day.
